What is NetDisk (NAS)-- A Simple Storage for Network replacing a Server -- Polywell NetDisk is a Storage Disk Subsystem that allows Windows, Linux or Mac user to read and write files simply by connecting a Ethernet network.

An Add-on Storage for Network without touching the Existing Server -- NetDisk can also be attached to the existing network to increase more storage space without changing the existing Server, but share all the security right from the Windows Server, NT, Linux or Novell Networks just like a Network Printer that allows the user to share without complicated networking server set up.

iSCSI/SAN for Data Center-- NetDisk can also be configured as a NAS, iSCSI or SAN storage for different (Windows or Linux) Servers via Fiber Channel Host connection or 10Gbit/InfiniBand/Gigabit Ethernet connection with up to 8TB Storage capacity in 1U standard Rack or up to 96TB on a 5U Rack.

Scalability-- NetDisk can be scaled up to store and retrieve up to 96 Terabyte of data (48 drives per 5U Box). The advanced model supports high performance SAS and high capacity SATA Drives simultaneously in RAID configuration. Our storage gives you the option to have 2 to 48 SATA/SAS drives with different chassis option in Tower or Rack, providing a very affordable solution to your storage needs. Thus, NetDisk provides greater potential for growth and a better return on investment than competing systems.

RAID Data Protection -- NetDisk offers better RAID data protection than any product in its class, providing users with affordability and reliability. While competing products offer support only for RAID 5 (Distributed Data and Parity), NetDisk simultaneously supports RAID 0 (Striping), RAID 1 (Mirroring), RAID 5 and 6 with Hot Spare for Basic and Mainstream models. Advanced Models comes with Hardware RAID-6, 10, 50 and 60 as standard plus fiber channel, InfiniBand and 10Gigabit Network supported.

Flexible Volume Management -- NetDisk is the first workgroup storage appliance providing the administrator the ability to create and manage application or user-specific storage pools: RAID protection levels, user access, and backup strategy.

Cross-Platform Support -- NetDisk offers client access via Windows, HTTP and UNIX NFS and network support for Windows NCP. Multi-Language supported (includes 2-byte Japanese and Chinese Character file name).
